Minneriya National Park – Sri Lanka

The 8,890 hectares national park is located in the central province of Sri Lanka. Minneriya National Park is an ideal eco tourism destination full of lush evergreen forests. The park houses different species of mammals, reptiles, and birds. Visitors can spot animals like sambar deer, elephants, and leopards.

Apart from natural beauty and wildlife of the park, the major attraction is ancient Minneriya Tank. King Mahasena made this tank during the third century. Now, it shelters elephants during the dry season. This place presents quite a view where you can discover elephants playing and bathing.
