La Mesa Eco Park was opened to sustain the Save La Mesa Watershed Project. The area covered by the park is 33 hectares located outside the natural boundaries of the watershed. The total income generated from the park is invested for the continuous preservation and protection of the La Mesa Watershed. The park provides various outdoor recreation activities and aims to be center for biodiversity conservation.
The park consists of La Mesa Dam and an ecological nature reserve site. The La Mesa Dam is an earth dam that includes reservoir that can hold up to 50.5 million cubic meters and this water, collected and served to the Maynilad Water Services. The park is a popular destination for photography shoots, picnics, family outings, and educational field trips.
La Mesa Eco Park provides several facilities to the visitors like Lopez Picnic Ground. The ground offers five hectares of picnic spots underneath the forest, and a saltwater swimming pool. Superferry boating lagoon is also available for the guests to experience and enjoy a boat ride around the lagoon. Fishing and mountain biking can be done in the park.
