Everyone wants to go on a beach vacation to enjoy coastal environment and water sports. Beach vacations are generally full of fun but if you are not careful in your selection of the beach, you can easily ruin your vacation. It is better to do some research on the beaches that you must avoid while planning your next vacation. If you do not do groundwork before your beach vacation, you can end up landing in either an over-populated coast or polluted beach to spoil your holiday. And you will not get any privacy in a densely crowded beach, while remote beaches are difficult to reach. Ideally, a beach should be safe and sparsely populated for a nice vacation. Following are five of the worst sea beaches that every traveler should avoid.

Repulse Bay Beach, Hong Kong Island:

The Repulse Bay Beach in Hong Kong is quite repulsive. Even though the Repulse Bay Beach looks ordinary from the outskirt but it features expensive real estate properties in the surrounding areas. Due to the continuous construction going on around the beach, pollutants are often disposed in the seawater that pollutes the surrounding environment. Known for ceaseless red tides, Repulse Bay Beach is unsafe for bathing as it contains several pollutants that can harm your body skin.

Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia:

Even the greatest swimmers do not dare to visit the risky beach of Fraser Island in Australia. The local authorities warn the tourists to stay away from the beach, as you can easily see vile sharks and Irukandji jellyfishes in the seawater here. Moreover, the strong rip currents can push the tourists towards the deep waters.

Maho Beach, Caribbean Islands:

Located alongside the St. Martin airport, the Maho Beach is not the right place for vacationers looking for peace and solitude. The deafening noise of planes moving just a few meters above the sand can ruin your beach vacation.

Haina Beach, Dominican Republic:

The Dominican Chernobyl or Haina Beach is one of the most polluted seacoasts that one must avoid for a beach vacation. The soil and sand around the beach is full of poisonous lead that can cause numerous health issues for vacationers.

New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County, FL:

The New Smyrna Beach is reportedly the most shark attack prone coastal area in the whole world. You definitely do not want to be gobbled by sharks during your beach vacation.
