El Salvador

El Salvador is one of the most populated countries in Central America. This destination is widely a mix of ethnic groups, mainly dominated by the Spanish and expatriate refugees. It is because of these diverse factors, this country has a rich and unique cultural heritage. The population is very friendly and fun loving. People here like to welcome the visitors very warmly.

Location

It is located in the western coast of Central America and is divided into three topological regions. This destination is dominated by the Honduras in the north, Guatemala in the north west, Gulf of Fonseca in the south east and in the south. It is bounded by the Pacific Ocean. This vibrant destination is divided into mountain ranges of Coastal and Cordillera Apeneca. These mountain ranges vary from east to the west, dividing the destination into three topographical areas.

People

The approximate population of El Salvador is 7.2 million where around 90 per cent of them are of mixed Indian and Spanish extractions. In this country, very few are native and some are still following their ancient culture and traditions. According to the records, most of the people here are Roman Catholics and Protestant. Spanish is their official language, which is spoken by all.

The high profile events held throughout the calendar year consist of cultural and religious. People here like to enjoy every festival to the core and propose the tourists with a warm welcome. A vast number of outsiders also visit the festivals.

Weather

The weather conditions are of tropical nature with both wet and dry seasons. Temperatures vary very rarely and show very insignificant seasonal changes. As per the areas, the Pacific lowlands are uniformly hot and moderate are the mountain areas and Central Plateau. In the hottest region, the average temperature ranges from 25 degrees to 29 degrees.
