traveling alone through Asia

We are all parts of a continent and no one can be an island all their lives but still traveling alone especially through an exotic continent like Asia can be lots of fun. Traveling alone is a great way of enriching yourself. You will be more confident about yourself and learn a lot more about yourself. Cultural difference and bad infrastructure will definitely pose problems. You have to be ready for every unexpected problem and keep account of the money you have. Once you have mastered tackling the little delays and disruptions you will thoroughly enjoy your Asia tour alone. Following are some dos and don’ts rules, which you must follow for traveling safely through Asia.

Do’s:

1. Do plan with care: As you will be traveling alone, you have to chalk out all the details on your own. You need to pick the places you want to visit and draw the best routes of reaching one destination from another. Also have a clear idea regarding your budget so that you do not overstep the monetary boundaries.

2. Buy roundtrip tickets: Buying roundtrip tickets will give your journey more definition and you will be able to make better plans. Start from a particular city and then take the direction which fascinates you most. While traveling alone, you can change you plans if you wish and stay in one place more than you thought you would.

3. Stay in tourist lodges/hostels: Stay in hostels for tourists on a budget so that you can talk with other tourists and get to know more about the locality. May be they will have better and more attractive travel plans and you can join them. Hostels are very cheap and save your money.

Don’ts:

1. Don’t forget to keep in touch: You may be feeling very free and happy while traveling alone but still you should not be cut off from your own world. Always keep your friends informed about your location.

2. Don’t miss street foods: Many places in Asia sell great street foods. You should try as many varieties as possible because such a chance of binging may not come back. But make sure the vendor is clean and washes the plastic plates before serving.

3.  Don’t drink unpacked water: Drink water from packaged water bottles. Spending for water will save your medical bills.
