There are more than 2,000 beaches that stretch along the shoreline of Brazil and within the countries reach; the Atlantic Ocean is dotted with more than 1,000 islands. Many of them are the well preserved ecological sanctuaries while the others are quite densely populated. Beaches and the rainforest are the major tourist attraction. Brazil is known for its beaches worldwide. It gives shelter to diverse and beautiful beaches along its coastline.

  • Baia do Sancho, Fernando de Noronha: This beach is considered to be the most exotic and most beautiful beach in entire Brazil. This place is unforgettable and you will surely find yourself using this beach as a comparison to several others. The highlights of the bay are the cliff that protects the bay and also the water which is crystal clear.

  • Carneiros, Tamandar`e: This beach looks like a postcard from the travel agency. It is an extremely beautiful beach. The beach is very well preserved and is kept clean and tidy. Only one family owns this entire area.

  • Lagoinha do Leste, Florianopolis, Santa Catarina: There are about 42 or more breathe taking beaches in this island. On the southern part of the island, requiring almost an hour’s hiking is a deserted beach which is quite popular and very beautiful. It is backed by the Atlantic rainforest, with sandbanks, dunes, a rocky coastline and also a lake. It place is perfect for a day trip.

  • Bonete, Sao Paulo state: To arrive at the beach, there is a fair amount of walking needed to be endured. The walking distance in itself is a beauty as you pass by the waterfalls and also walk under the shades of the Brazil’s coastal forest, Mata Atlantica. The sea looks blue; the sand is golden and green dense forest. The wave is great for surfing.

  • Alter do Chao, Para: At the heart of the rainforest of Amazon, on a river side is the best beach of Brazil. At a distance of around 30Km from Santarem, the rainforest city, this beach is located. This is the best place to relax and lose all your worries. You can plunge into the river in morning and feast yourself on fish. The place is a golden paradise.

  • Praia da Fazenda, Sao Paulo state: One of Brazil’s most natural jewel lies in between the two biggest cities of Latin America. Here you can catch a glimpse of the kingfisher among the mangroves, dolphins playing around and at times, even a whale! At the far end there is a natural spring.

  • Caraiva, Bahia: There is no motorized transport possible here and so the only sound that prevails in the beach is that of the breeze and the calls of the other animals and birds. In either direction, the beach stretches uninterrupted. The golden sand is present all over the area.

  • Lopes Mendes, llha Grande, Rio state: This is a big island which is the home town of Lopes Mendes. The fine sand stretches out to the crystal blue and super calm ocean. This beach offers very little shade although it is lined with palm trees as well as almond trees. Be sure to apply loads of suntan lotion.

  • Gavin McOwan: This beach is famous with bathers and surfers. It is a favourite spot for surfers. The view is mind blowing. The famous Dois Irmaos mountain can be seen from this beach. This beach is lit up till late night.

  • Taipus De Fora, Marau peninsula, Bahia: The beach is very long and very beautiful. The spectacular sight is that of the full moon on the beach. It floods the beach with soft light. It offers a wonderful tropical fish and the pool is naturally sheltered.
