Top spiritual destinations around the world

Spiritual life is a journey. There should be something change in your daily life activities.  Spending time to god is not possible with all this schedules. So make contact with god by visiting the spiritual places often in the holidays. Selecting the places is the most important thing.

Some of the spiritual destinations in the world are:

Golden Temple

This is located in the Amritsar which is the holy city in the state of Punjab, India. The name is derived from the pool around the golden temple which means “holy Pool of nectar”. It is the spiritual centre for the Sikh religion. They call this place as a Gurdwara which means a place of worship. More than 50,000 visitors visit the temple every day. The temple is the symbol for the human brotherhood and equality.  The golden temple became a spiritual destination teaches the lesson of egalitarianism and humility.

Jerusalem

It is the one of the world’s pilgrim’s centre from the past centuries. It is one of the historical significance places. More than 2million travellers visit the Jerusalem each year. There is lot of places to cover in this city. Visit the western wall which is a place of prayer in Jewish religion, a site of Golgotha where Jesus was crucified. There are lot of museums and archaeological sites to visit in the city. Spend time visiting the most beautiful spiritual site.

Ulpotha

It has been a pilgrimage site for thousands of years and it is known as the heart of Srilanka. It is the traditional working village located on the side by low mountains and a lotus ringed lake and on the other side by tiny emerald green paddy fields. Visitors can find a natural sanctuary of beauty where the main thing is the simply relaxing and remarkable atmosphere.

Vatican City

It is situated on the Vatican hill, on the right bank of the Tiber river within the city of Rome. The Vatican City is the one of the most sacred places in Christendom. It has a great history and a spiritual venture. A lot of artistic and architectural masterpieces lie within the boundaries of state. The centre of the city is St Peters Basillica with its double colonnade and a circular piazza in front and bordered by places and gardens.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge is located near Salisbury in the English country of Wiltshire. The stone stands as strong today as it did 3500 years ago. It is the one of the most famous places to visit. For building this Stonehenge which is of 3 phases it takes all over of 30 million hours of labour. There is no conformation why this Stonehenge is built. But some myth says that it is built for human sacrifice while others gossip that it is astronomy.  It is best seen when sun raises and sun sets.

Easter Island

It is located 3700km from the west coast of Chile. Easter island is the famous isolated inhabited island. This island consists of enormous big headed, tribal-like volcanic stone statues known as Moai. The most famous sites on the island is Rano Raraku where 70 moai seem to rise from the earth and the remaining 150 lie in a nearby volcanic crater, where the rock for the moai was extracted. It is still unclear how the moai moved from the rock to other parts of island. It remains a mystery till now.
