Atlas Travel, Prime Numbers Technology to come as one

In a new move by Atlas Travel, it has now launched an all-in-one union that will now comprise both itself and TravelGPA report card developer, Prime Numbers Technology. The company will be renamed as Atlas Travel & Technology Group Inc and will be headed by CEO Elaine Osgood, COO Lea Cahill, CFO John Hannon and CISO Dan Reagan. Osgood launched Atlas Travel back in 1986 while Osgood and Rock Blanco formed Prime Numbers Technology in 2007. Blanco has since moved out of the company to pursue other interests.

What difference does it make?

Osgood noted that this merger is an exciting time for both companies. The first outcome is the launch of a new product known as the Travel HD. This product comes from the technology arm of the new company and is seen as an update and more comprehensive version of Prime Numbers Technology’s current product Travel GPA. Travel GPA is a web-based application which seeks to analyze a company’s expenses as well as standardize its performance by pointing out how savings can be made. Travel HD, therefore, can be seen as a more robust solution for companies. Meanwhile, Atlas Travel is also seeking new ways of increasing its business capacity. It is looking into making a foray into new and emerging markets and is working towards launching Atlas Travel Concourse. This is an updated and more all-rounded solutions and services. The company reported that this product is a first of its kind for the company.

Despite coming together, Atlas Travel is said to continue to be headed by the existing leadership team and will deliver services as the Global Travel Management, Vacations & Cruises and Meetings & Incentives divisions. Likewise, Prime Numbers Technology will also be led by current leaders, Jason Gabor and Doug Vasquez. The Prime Number Technology team will also grow in strength as it expands its manpower with an addition of a director of business development and product marketing to help with the launch of the new product, Travel HD.

What lies in the future?

Osgood is said to be optimistic about the coming together of the two companies and is confident that the companies together and individually will continue to success. The companies will continue to maintain separate operations in order to ensure that data integrity and security are maintained. This policy will also help avoid the occurrence of data compromise in an era where services are shared within related businesses. Strict policies will continue to be in place so that a cordial working relationship can be maintained.

The new products and contribution to the travel market by coming together of two giants Prime Numbers Technology and Atlas Travel sounds promising. Time will tell how successful these companies can be while individually working towards creating strong products and services.
