How to deal with gas

Sometimes, after eating some foods, your stomach experiences pain in certain areas. This pain is due to the accumulation of gas which has been released by the food you have eaten. This gas needs to be vented out and you should know how to deal with it.

Take a walk

If you have eaten foods like pulses, peas, egg plant, etc. These vegetables tend to increase the gas in your stomach. If you have eaten them at night, it is advisable that you take a small walk and then sleep. This will help the gases to get released and you would not face any pain in the stomach after you lie down. You can take a small stroll to the nearby garden or just a walk on the footpath outside your house. If not this then you can just walk around the house in small and measured steps. Movement of the stomach while walking does the trick.

Have a teaspoon of carom seeds with warm water

When you feel your stomach is bloating due to gas accumulation, you can have a teaspoon of carom seeds with warm water. This spice is very useful in reducing the formation of gas in the stomach and even helps in letting it out. You need to chew the teaspoon of seeds slightly and then swallow them half chewed with warm water. This is the right method of consuming them. They are a bit hot in taste but will cure gas instantly.

Practice yoga

If you face gas problems quite often, then that means your body has a tendency of developing gas, very fast. In such cases you should practice a few positions in yoga every day. This will reduce your tendency of developing gas and prevent any kind of pain in the stomach.
