Once a boy whose father was a carpenter asked him, “What is the value of a human being, father?”
Father was really shocked to hear the words but answered patiently,” A human being is actually priceless, son.
“Then, why are some people rich and others are poor? Why can’t we all be the same? “The son asked.
The father kept quiet for a moment and then asked his son to grab the wooden log lying in the next room. When son brought the wooden log, father asked,” What could be the price of the wooden log?”
“It would be around $1 “, the son replied back.
Then father asked,” If I use the wooden log to make a house, what could be the price?”
“It could be $5, since wood that is used to make a house is much expensive then a wooden log.”
“What if I make tables and chairs with this wood,” the father confirmed again.
“Then it would be much more expensive,” the son answered.
“What if I use this wood to make some fire? What will be its price then?” the father asked his son.
“It would not cost a single penny then,” the boy answered.
The father explained, “Even human beings are exactly the same. You must not assess your value based on your current circumstances since life keep changing. When you work hard and remain consistent in your efforts, you actually increase your value. Human beings are inestimable. You are one unique creation of universe who can work wonders in life.
It is important that you keep moving forward in life even in the face of adversities. You never know what destiny has got in store for you. Give your best and leave the rest. Sometimes you only need to take an initiative and life gives you what you desire the most.
