How to deal with a pregnant woman

How to deal with a pregnant woman

Pregnancy affects a mother’s body in many ways. She has to face a lot of issues like morning sickness, aches, pains, insomnia etc. A good husband should be very caring and patient while dealing with a pregnant woman. There are a lot of things that you can do to help her relax during her period of struggle.

Make her feel beautiful

Of all the joys and challenges faced in life, none is more extraordinary than having the first baby. From the moment you find out that you are pregnant to the day you give birth, you will experience many changes and learn new ways to take care of yourself and your growing baby. Top priority for pregnant women is the need to feel beautiful. Pregnancy makes them gain weight and causes a lot of other beauty problems like horrible acne, bad hair, brittle nails, mottled skin, and permanent stretch marks. This lowers her self esteem and lead to other psychological issues. So, caring partners must keep reminding her how beautiful she is. Never ever use the words “large” or “big,” even when talking about the baby. Compliment her at any given opportunity, even if she does not look her best. This boosts her confidence and reduces consciousnesses about her weight gain and body shape. Reassure her about her beauty and your love for her all the time. Affirm your unwavering dedication to her each and every day. Tell her how much you love her and how soft and round she is and that she’s the hottest woman you’ve ever seen. Make her feel you still admire her and often let her catch you staring at her.

Make sure she feels loved

Pregnant women remain a little worried about getting attention like before, so make sure that she is still attractive and you still love her the same way you used to. Tell her how much you love her from time to time. Try lots of different ways to show your love for her. Take her out for a romantic evening walk, dance slowly holding her hand, bring her flowers when you return home from work, cook for her, all these only increases the love between the both of you. Showing her that you actually are thinking of her at work is a huge help. Surprise her with gifts, greeting cards. She will love it for sure. Call her when ever you are free and ask her if she would want anything to be picked up on your way to home.

Help ease aches and pains

Pregnant women often suffer from body aches and pains due to weight gain, fatigue etc. They only get worse as your pregnant wife enters her third trimester. You can make a world of difference in her life by helping her out just a little. A massage is the best way to relax her and drive away those pains. Put her in a comfortable position or in a relaxing chair and give her a soft, soothing massage. Foot massage also to the tired feet will be appreciated. Draw a nice hot bath for her, a good foot rub with a soothing lotion. Always be careful to be gentle with her.

Helping her out as much as possible in tasks and chores

Household responsibilities change with pregnancy. Expectant mothers get tired quickly. So, help them with chores as much as possible. The best way to show your pregnant wife that you care is to lend her a helping hand whenever she needs and do it even before she asks you for one. Remember that your wife may not be able to do the amount of work that she was used to doing earlier. Offer to help cleaning the dishes or set the table for dinner, clean the house. She would really appreciate you for it. Try your best to make her feel wanted and appreciated. Pamper your pregnant sweetheart.

Don’t get upset with her

Pregnancy totally drives your wife crazy. She will have mood swings. She will be happy for sometimes and at the very next moment she may get upset. Be patient and recognize that it’s the hormones. Never get upset with pregnant women. Avoid fights by saying that you are sorry, even if you are not, even if it isn’t your fault. Look sincere and show her that you do feel bad for making her upset. Calm her down with a caring touch and gentle words. Avoid fighting because it can affect the pregnancy and harm the baby. So, keep your calm and let your woman have a safe and happy pregnancy.
