Our values are within us, no matter whether we identify ourselves with them or not. So, it is best to become conscious of them. Irrespective of whether we believe in them or not, they’d have an unprecedented impact on our lives. If we are conscious about them, we can tailor that impact according to our personal needs or the demand of the situation. On the other hand, if we are not conscious, they’d act subconsciously and might end up becoming the reason why we are sad. So, it is important that through introspection we discover our values before they do us any harm.
