Controlling your thoughts is just like controlling the stuff that’s inside your house. The first step that you follow in both cases is to become aware that there is clutter. If you don’t follow it, you can never be able to control your possessions both physical and mental. Once you become aware of it, you should extend your focus to what you need and let go of what you don’t. Just like we have one body that has limited physical capacities, our mind too can hold only a few things at once and control them. They are either the things that you choose yourself or the things that you choose you. In the second case, you lose all the control that you have over your life to things around.
