Life isn’t black and white, but you can’t call it colourful either. It is actually what you make of it, so how you look at it matters a lot.

We all have our own perspective towards the world and the reality appears to us in accordance with that perspective. More than anything else, this is apparent within the works of artists. While black and white pictures best capture the imagination of a street photographer, a realist painter needs a full palette of colors. This also applies to all of us. People with a pessimistic outlook are more likely to see grief all around them, where as those who have a more positive outlook would be able to discover positivity no matter how hopeless the situation is. Thus, before working on the world, we should first work on our outlook towards it.
