The impression that most of us have of hypnosis is quite unrealistic. Thanks to its severe misrepresentation in pop media, we tend to think of hypnosis as the act where people take control of other’s minds to guide it in whichever direction they want. That is just one form of hypnosis. The actual and more popular form of hypnosis is very different. It is self-hypnosis, and consciously or subconsciously we all do that. It is telling you again and again about your aims so that you remain focused on what you want in life.
