What’s happened has happened. We cannot change it no matter how we try. In fact, when we ponder too much over our past, we generally tend to manipulate ourselves into believing that what we did was right and what the other person did was wrong. Or, in some other cases, we might also manipulate ourselves and others into believing that we were wrong, and then we submerge ourselves inside an ocean of guilt. In both cases, we are not free from our past. The only way of doing so is either asking others for forgiveness or forgiving others, depending upon how we feel about the situation. In fact, asking for forgiveness, even when you know it’s the other person’s fault would also help greatly in getting over things.
