Nobody would like to deal with stupid people but they are the reality of our lives, we have to face them daily. The following are a few ways to avoid stupid people peacefully.
Empathize with them
Nobody acts stupid on their own will, so you must not detest somebody for being stupid. This is not really their fault, so you should be kind to them. Try to see the world from their view and you will be surprised at how short sighted you have been. It is not necessary that they will always be wrong, so donât be prejudiced against them or their work. Once you get familiar with the way the person thinks, you will be able to handle him better.
Stay calm, don’t be critical
When you know you are better than somebody, do not keep reminding them. If you find somebody stupid, donât nag them about it. Try to be calm, composed and helpful towards them. They will not like being corrected very often, hence you should not force your ideas upon them. Always suggest them calmly and allow them to take their decisions. Everybody has something good about them, so just try to find their strengths rather than whining about their weakness.
Avoid politely
If you have no other option left, just walk away silently. Never embarrass a person publicly for something they have done wrong, this humiliation will enrage them and also make them feel bad. Be respectful, even if for no reason at all because not every person can be the same. When you avoid them, do it in manner in which they donât feel hurt. And always allow them to come back to you if they want your help. Guide them like you would guide any normal person, do not be partial towards them.
