Everyone was staring at the old couple who had just entered into the restaurant a few minutes ago. As soon as the couple got settled down, the waiter came to take the order. The wife whispered something into the ears of her husband and he checked his wallet twice to make sure he had the money.
“What would you like to have sir,” the waiter asked.
The husband thought for a moment and said, “One hamburger, French fries and a cold drink.”
“Sure sir, and for ma’am,” the waiter inquired.
“No, that’s all we’ll have,” this time the old wife answered.
The waiter took no more than a minute to get the order. The husband took the sip of drink and place that in front of his wife who returned it back after taking one sip. A minute later, the husband took the slice and cut that into half. He took the one half himself and kept the other half in front of his wife.
Everyone sitting there was observing them quietly since the way the old couple was looking at each was quite appealing. They didn’t even need to give words to their thought as it they were able to make a telepathic appeal to each other.
As the husband was busy eating his hamburger, the wife was taking a sip and placing the drink in between the table. After eating the hamburger, the husband ate a few French fries and left some for his wife.
Meanwhile a girl came to said hello. She sat in a chair lying next to them and said, “Should I buy you another hamburger or French fries.”
The old man looked at her and said, “No we always share our food.”
The young girl insisted again but this time the wife took a sigh and said, “No we are fine. We have made it a rule to share every time we take our food. We believe it adds more love to our relationship.
A few minutes later, the husband finished his food and took the paper napkin lying in front of him. The young girl looked at the wife and asked, “You haven’t taken a single bite yet. What are you waiting for?”
She took another sip of the drink and said, “I am waiting for the teeth.”
