Mrs. Gomes had lost her entire family to flood. She came after a long gap of one month and went to the classroom where kids were waiting for their class. The incidence had changed her completely. She took her class and in the end, she asked all the kids to name that one thing that they found special about that particular day. When no one could come up with an answer she said, “Life ends in a spur of a moment and we don’t even get to know about it. It is true that you don’t get anything at the end of the day except happy memories of everyday life. Every single minute is a blessing.”
“Each day brings along beautiful surprises and those who keep their options open are the people who lead a happy and content life. Life in itself is the biggest gift of universe. Live each moment with equal vigor, collect memories and hold them close to your heart since time once gone never comes back. Those who keep waiting for the right time only stuff their lives with regrets something that make their lives worthless. Do things that you love to do the most and live life on the edge,” she explained.
“Promise me that you would not let go important gifts of life unnoticed and would live life to the fullest. Happiness is the ultimate goal of human life and it is something that helps you make valuable relationships around you. Keep a beautiful smile as it helps you face you difficulties head on and give you a hope for a better tomorrow,” she added.
There was a complete silence in the classroom. In one way or another, Mrs. Gomes was trying to motivate herself and all the students in her class. The moment when she left the classroom, she had tears rolling down her eyes.
Time went by, seasons changed but no one saw tears in her eyes ever again. Mrs. Gomes gave an important lesson to kids that changed their lives forever. The incidence changed her life forever and she wanted to pass on the learning to her students. She always said that she had enough memories of her loving family and she was happy that she spent quality time with her loved ones.
