5 Ways To Make A Positive Change In Your Life

5 Ways To Make A Positive Change In Your Life

1. Take some time and really think about what it is you love in your life

What do you love spending your time doing? What hobbies do you have that you wish you could spend all day doing? What dreams do you have for your future? Where do you want to be in 5 years? All these questions are important to think about and by exploring them, you’ll slowly realize that you can create a life around the things you love, without having to spend another day making someone else rich and sacrificing your future for it. Your dream life really doesn’t have to be a dream anymore.

2. Spend your free time more effectively

Like I said earlier, we make up for the time we spend at work by enjoying ourselves as much as we can during our time off. There is nothing wrong with this, but if you want to start designing your life without having to have a job, you need to spend this time thinking productively about what you could be doing and exploring these options. Explore any skills that you have and try to think about how they could generate revenue for you. There must be someone out there willing to pay for what you can do. It’s time to open yourself up to all the possibilities and focus all of your attention on them.

3. Tune your mind to think of opportunities everywhere

While you’re in this mindset, you will start to see possibilities all around you. There will be holes in the services that the businesses in your area provide. There will be something that you want done, but there isn’t a company that does it or they don’t do it the way you want it done. If you’re experiencing something, someone else out there might be just as disgruntled as you. As well as this, its good to remember that you don’t have to invent the next Mac, so if there’s someone already doing it, you can do it too if you think you can do it better in any way. Even Apple released the iPod over a year after the first MP3 players. That changed everything and so can you.

4. Pursue every avenue as far as you can

Its time to stop the procrastination and focus on every idea that you have. Focus on finishing every project you come up with and do all of your homework. You will never know if something is going to work unless you put the hours in, work at developing the skills you need and promote what you’re working on. See what other people in the new industry do and learn their methods. Add your personal touch and take it as far as you can.

5. Start to reduce your ’employee’ hours

There will come a time that your job is holding you back in your freelance endeavor. You know that your time will be more productive if you weren’t at work and the best part is, you could be earning more money if you were focusing on your new venture. This is the time to discuss reducing your hours. You can start working part-time or take some time off as a career break. Some employers allow you to take a break without losing your job and if you don’t, use up all the vacation you have. When it’s over, you can re-evaluate and decide if you want to continue this.

This process helped me and I am continuing to develop my passions into a lifestyle that I love. There are some resources that have helped me and continue to do so, both in finding freelance work and hiring freelancers to bring some of my projects to life. I found them useful and I hope they help you make a positive change in your life.
