Life has a way of throwing curve balls at you. When you least expect it, something will come out of the blue and test you to your limits.
It could be losing your wallet, losing your job, or the end of a relationship, but what is the best way to handle life’s challenges?
In these situations, the best way to handle it is to keep it simple. How do we do that?
1. Embrace the change
Without being sceptical or hesitant to it, embrace the change. Be open to being challenged and learn any lessons that this change can bring.
2. Adapt to it
We want to be safe and when we’re unsure of the outcome, our defence mechanisms are alerted and we try and fight it.
3. Replace Anger and Frustration
Becoming resistant to change will cause you to become angry and frustrated that it had to happen to you. Handling it in this way will cause you to stress.
The crazier the change, the more you need to see it with curiosity and humour. Laugh at life’s crazy turns.
5. Be grateful
Handling change in a positive way will lead to more positive outcomes as a result of it. This will open up new opportunities for you that wouldn’t have been possible without it.
6. Try it and keep trying it
This is difficult to understand but only makes sense if you have already gone through such a moment, or if something negative occurs tomorrow, you can see it for what it is, accept it, laugh at how crazy and random life can be, and move on.
