Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi) is famous for his non-violence movement as well as the way he lived his life.
I personally visited Sabarmati Ashram a few months back, I was amazed to see how simple life he lived. Yet he had a great power to turn a situation. His one quote has become my lifetime favorite it’s “my life is my message”.
How often we see that leaders giving instruction to their fellow collogues but their own way of living and acting is entirely different compared to the instruction given. On the other hand, Mahatma Gandhi lived his life with one philosophy, do what you say, say what you do. His life was a perfect reflection of his thoughts and action. He didn’t live diplomatic life.
He truly had great power, when we see his past involvement in South Africa and India against Britain for freedom then we found that he had organized several non-violence movements from time to time to achieve freedom. So what he is today is because of his past activity. He had done something which was not done before by anyone; used non-violence to get freedom. He inspires us to live for today and do something which would be memorable for the world in the future.
Meaning of life and success through spectacles of Gandhi
Great people never die, they keep influencing others even long after they are gone. Be it their teachings or their exemplary life, they inspire millions all around the world. Mahatma Gandhi is known not only for truth and non-violence but also for giving a new direction to the idea of self-control, discipline, and modesty. Here are a few great words of wisdom of Mahatma Gandhi that can make you a truly successful person in life.
Forgiveness is the virtue of great
It takes a lot of heart to forgive those who hurt you since the first human reaction is to hold a grudge or taking revenge. You must forgive the other person if not for him/her then for yourself since it gives you inner peace. One must believe in forgive and forget policy and move on in life with no ill feelings in his/her heart. Negative feelings instigate negativity all around you making it hard for you to lead a happy life.
You get hurt as you allow that to happen
Those who take everything seriously get hurt very easily. Even if someone makes a negative comment or says something that makes you feel bad, you must not take that to heart. Do not allow others to take control of your life in their hands as your own happiness is in your control. You are a complete individual with unique qualities of your own.
Feel free to make mistakes in life
It is good to make mistakes if you take learning to make ways for your success. Your mistakes turn you into a better individual who can make wise decisions in life. If you fail to take learning from your mistakes, you fail as a person too. All great people have a long history of mistakes and failures behind them and that’s what guides them the best.
Change yourself to bring about a real change
If you do not change yourself you will still feel, behave and react the same way even if someone offers you an entirely changed world. On the contrary, when you change yourself you feel surrounded with new thoughts, ideas, and opportunities. The first step to change the external world literally begins with you. Do not blame but learn to bring about a change to see your corner of world-changing along with you.
Do what your heart tells you to do
You can never be happy if you let others call shots in your life, it will only create chaos. Listen to your own heart and follow your inner feelings to find a way to success in life. No one knows you better than you do; this makes it even more important to follow your instincts. Learn to be at ease with your thoughts, actions, and words to give a new direction to your life.
Action is required for growth
If you keep waiting for things to happen you would end up feeling disappointed and heartbroken. It is important to be active in life and make efforts to turn your dreams into reality. There is no miracle unless you take the required action and set the right platform for it.
If you wish to count your blessing then make sure you do at least one act of kindness each passing day. This makes you feel complete. Giving can be your way out to release tension and anxiety as you feel you are capable of changing someone’s life even if it is as simple as making someone smile.
Mahatma Gandhi has his own identity among all since he sacrificed his entire life for the happiness of others. His teachings lead you to a happy and productive life. He always believed in humanity and kindness, which is essential to have peace of mind.
