Can somebody enlighten me about gluten free cooking?

Recently our doctor has advised my husband to eat a gluten free diet, and I want to learn gluten free cooking now, as I have to be careful about what he eats. I would like to know what all things should I bear in mind for gluten free cooking, as it is a new concept for me. Moreover, I would like to know if there are any health magazines, which contain gluten free recipes as well. I would be really thankful for an appropriate response!
