Here is why photography is a Wellness Therapy for me. First, I used to share my photography every Sunday, but my busy schedules took over my weekends also. Fortunately, today while at the airport, I had ample time to pick and share photos of some recent incredible moments in my life.
We all love taking photos, don’t we. I have always wondered if photography might be more than a hobby for all of us: something more like personal wellbeing or perhaps even a path toward self-exploration and self-realization?
I am keen to start a chat with you about mindfulness photography. While you take photograph, you have to be still, focused and in the moment. You have to select your canvas and your own composition. It’s more like mindfulness, which is all about being in the moment.
Here are some of my photos, taken via iPhone (no DSLR). I love the innocence and chaos of nature, in which there is a grand design of life. Teaching us many things, including slowness, focus, freshness and curiosity.
My photography is like therapy for me, it allows me to not only keep the joy of memories for life but also bring spurs of self reflection.
Let me know what photography means to you and also let me know if I should keep sharing photos every Sunday. I will need a big shout or some ping from you to keep me motivated to do so.
