It is known for being one of the best diving destinations in the world. The coral reef of Palau has been designated as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. \u00a0The island has been under the focus of the environmentalists because of its rich biodiversity. The Palau Conservation Society aims to conserve the island and make it an island paradise for eco tourists to visit.<\/p>\n<p>The bird species native and exclusive to the island are the Palau Swiftlet, Palau Fantail, Morning Bird, and the Giant White Eye. Mammals spotted on the island are Palau Fruit Bat and Palau Flying Fox, which has become extinct. Marine life features fishes such as Orange Stripes Wrasse, the Dobra Goby, Bullseye Pygmy Goby and Deep blue Chromis.
