It is a biosphere reserve, which lies on the border of Burkina Faso. The Pendjari National Park is the part of WAP complex (W-Arli-Pendjari), which is a protected area in Niger, Benin and Burkina Faso. The park covers a total area of 2755 square kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>The national park derives its name from the Pendjari River, and is popular for the abundance of birds with more than 300 different species finding safe haven here. The Pendjari National Park is known for its huge wildlife and some of the species that can be found here are hippopotamuses, Buffalos, antelopes, elephants, Monkeys, lions and many more.
