If you are a Windows Phone user, and a Skype fan at that, here is a good news for you. After months of acquiring Skype for $8.5 billion, Microsoft has finally released Skype application for Windows Phone 7. Skype<\/a> , a famous video call and chat application, is available on almost all the major platforms. As it\\’s with other smart phones, Skype for Windows Phone 7 would allow users to make voice and video calls over 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi, using Skype credit, or indulge in group chats, profile management etc.\"Skype<\/p>\n

The app is still in beta stage, and you can download it<\/a> and share your feedback. The main version will be released in April. The requirements to run this app include a smartphone running Windows Phone 7.5 and a camera for making video calls. <\/p>

Currently, the app has been officially tested and certified on Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800, HTC Titan, HTC Radar, Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash. But you should be able to run it even if you have a different Windows Phone 7 mobile.<\/p>\n

The application still lacks integration compared to the Facebook or Twitter app. It is still a stand-alone application. Deeper integration of Skype with the WP7 OS is expected in the future versions (Don\\’t forget that this is in beta right now).
