Ford recently unveiled its new lineage of hybrid cars including the C-Max Energi, a plug-in hybrid. The world around us, interestingly, is gearing up towards a greener future and Ford does not seem to remain behind in joining this bandwagon. Its brand new C-Max Energi promises to offer you the best driving experience than ever. This mini-SUV gets its power from a two-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Promising to take you up to 43 miles per gallon, the C-Max Energi speeds from zero to 60 in mere 8.6 seconds when operated on the EV Auto mode.<\/span><\/p>\n

While driving this hybrid solely on the electric mode, you will find it to be a bit slow. Although, it takes you to an equivalent of 100 miles per gallon and rushes from 0 to 60 in 21.2 seconds, which is quite unsatisfactory! The electric motor\u2019s lithium-ion battery, situated beneath the luggage area, is said to have a capacity of 7.6 kWh. It must be admitted that Ford has done a commendable job when it comes to using the gasoline engine and electric motor at optimum levels. Ford claims that the C-Max Energi on a single electric charge will take you as far as 21 miles. When the electric power gets depleted, the car automatically switches to the gasoline version.<\/p>

If we talk about its interiors, it is surely going to keep you stunned. Elevated at four-inches, the C-Max Energi is the best car if you enjoy sitting high. Its leather-interiors with gleaming metallic touch will let you experience opulence. Coming to its seats, the front ones are quite comfy and can be adjusted in countless ways. The rear-seats, too, are spacious making enough places for three medium sized people. This cool hybrid lets you access it via a wireless key fob and once you start it, you are welcomed with some amazing animations flashing on the screen. If you are a geek, an iPhone app lets you keep an eye on the car\u2019s charging status. It also helps you locate nearby charging station.<\/p>\n

Another great feature offered by the powerful C-Max Energi is that you can just make your way across the back by just kicking a leg under it. Its hatchback opens up automatically. This proves to be quite handy when you have lots of luggage.<\/p>\n

You need to shell out $36,030 to buy it. If you consider the $3,751 tax credit for buying the hybrid, it will cost you around $32,279.<\/p>\n
