A pacemaker is an electronic device that regulates cardiac arrhythmia via low energy electric pulses. Depending on the requirement temporary or permanent pacemakers are implanted.<\/p>\n<p>The electronic device called an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) is similar to a pacemaker.
