Medical Tourism to Get First Dedicated Investment Forum

First Dedicated Investment Forum

The struggling medical tourism sector has been longing for a fresh impetus, and is now getting ready to make a mark with the announcement of the 1st Adriatic Health and Tourism Investment Forum. Providing a much-needed investor-attracting platform, Croatia has initiated a timely step to strengthen the medical tourism market and also to make its presence strongly felt in the Global Medical Tourism circuit.

The charm of Adriatic is always tourist beckoning, but this region has more to offer in terms of natural healing and other high-quality medical treatments.

Adriatic Health and Tourism Investment Forum:

Healthcare standard

To empower the high-earning Croatian economy, the country is looking forward in synergizing its health and tourism sector by hosting the 1stAdriatic Health and Tourism Investment Forum on October’17 in its capital city Zagreb.

The 2 day forum to be held on 12th&13th October in Hotel Sheraton under the patronage of the President of Republic of Croatia, MrsKolinda Grabar Kitarović and The Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Health, is expected to be a grand success which would foster the development of a sustainable health tourism market in Croatia and Adriatic region.

Tourism in Croatia accounts about 20% of the GDP. About 11 million tourists mainly from Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic visit this land every year. The Adriatic coast has seen the bulk development in tourism and continues to remain in focus in health tourism sector as well.

Healthcare standard in Croatia is almost at par with the developed European nations. Considering the treatment cost in comparison with the quality of service, the conditions for growing health tourism weigh largely in favor of this country. In 2016, the head of Tourism Ministry made it clear to leave no stone unturned in successfully implementing the action plan for developing medical tourism till 2020, which has been an integral part of the National Tourism Development Strategy.

The primary objective:

The Forum is set to offer a wide base for proficient stakeholders for a comprehensive understanding of the projects lying ahead, their future growth opportunities and their capability to draw tourists to this region.

This forum will be the perfect venue for all having ambitious growth plans within the ambit of the health tourism industry. Those interested to deliver their bit with their personal business expansion synchronized with the growth of health tourism in the Adriatic region are sure to benefit from this forum.

While exploring opportunities in this highly promising region for health tourism, the key players need to understand the areas needing substantial outlays. While doing this they would also need to assess the local economy, the spending capability of the locals and the government support.

The accessibility of this region in terms of airways connectivity and ties with the major airlines would also be an important factor in this connection. How far would their project fit into the local scenario would be a challenging yet a necessary appraisal. Hopefully, much of their business quests and the related issues in the domain of health tourism will be answered in the Forum.
