People made fun of her and called her names. Mary\u2019s only fault was that she was fat. It was hard for her to go to the second floor of her school when elevator was not working. Her teachers always asked her to eat less something that made everyone laugh in the classroom. She had no friends, as everyone liked to be with good-looking people. Her biggest strength was her mother who did not want her to change herself as she always said that she was the most beautiful girl in the neighborhood. Mary hated herself and always tried to control her appetite. Once she was even admitted in a hospital since she had not eaten anything for three days. She had got faint in her school and her class teacher had to call her dad.<\/p>\n

The last day of her school was the happiest day of her life. Mary thought that no one would call her names or laugh at her in college something that had given her a new life. She did not know that on the very first day of her college she would be a laughing stock. She put on her best dress, as she knew that everyone would be at his \/her best. The moment she stepped into the college someone called her a big fat girl and her dreams got shattered. She went into her classroom and was scared to see the same boy sitting there. The same boy had made the comment. She knew that now she would have to live with the title that her classmates had given her. She left the class in between as she could no longer bear the pain and went back home.<\/p>\n

When her mother opened the door, she saw her adorable daughter in tears. Her dad came running out of his study room when Mary started sobbing loudly. Her parents were feeling bad and helpless. Mary\u2019s mother again called her the most beautiful girl in the world something that broke her heart this time. It was hard to control her tears for next two days. Her mother found her father crying badly when she went to his study room to call him for dinner. He could have done anything to make his daughter feel beautiful again. Everyone ate less that day.<\/p>

Mary\u2019s mother came to her room and said, \u201cDoes it really matter what people think of you? Those people who call you names have tons of insecurities themselves. When they tease you, they are actually running away from their own fears. Do not let anything bring you down? \u201c<\/p>\n

Mary had tears rolling down her eyes and she did not even look at her mother. She was feeling guilty without a fault on her part. She felt bad, as she was the reason why her parents were in tears.<\/p>\n

Mary\u2019s mother took her had in her own hands and said, \u201cIt\u2019s your life. Do not let anyone tell you what to do, what not to do. You are responsible for your happiness. You have nothing to worry about since you always have you parents by your side. You are a beautiful person and you must know that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mary looked at her mother who had nothing but love in her eyes. Her mother was a strong woman who had seen her parents dying with cancer. Mary had never seen her mother cursing her fate. Her mother was the real strength of the family. She had never given up on hope in her entire life. Marry looked at her mother and promised her to be strong.<\/p>\n

The next day when Mary went to her classroom, her classmates made comments and called her names but marry did not even pay attention.<\/p>\n

She had a beautiful smile on her face.<\/p>\n

With time, she made some good friends in the college. She even fell in love with someone who once called her the most beautiful girl in the world.<\/p>\n

Mary had accepted the truth and started living with her true self. Every time she would look at herself in the mirror, she would think of her parents and feel proud to be their daughter.<\/p>\n

You must love and value our self before you accept others to do that.<\/p>\n
