The kitchen<br \/>\nwas designed to be a flexible space that can be used by homeowners as they<br \/>\nplease. Open to the adjacent terrace, the bright and spacious kitchen was<br \/>\ndesigned to allow the outside to come in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/1_3kxtm.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This was one of the major priorities for the home owners which<br \/>\nis why the designers decided quite early on in the project to use and position<br \/>\nglass strategically to achieve this effect. Being one of the key spaces in the house,<br \/>\nthe kitchen needed to be filled with natural daylight and the homeowners also<br \/>\nwanted it to capture the view of the surrounding bush and valley.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/2_xjjub.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p>The home is well connected to the city though it is located<br \/>\nwithin a hamlet and the homeowners wanted to ensure that the space was visited<br \/>\nby family and friends regularly. Since the family of 4 also required the<br \/>\nkitchen to be practical enough on a day to day basis for their regular<br \/>\nbreakfast, lunch and dinner, the kitchen was given a homey touch along with the<br \/>\nnecessary changes to make it more suited to entertaining guests over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/3_1ttxp.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p>To catch the morning sun and to showcase the natural<br \/>\nelements around the kitchen, the rear wall\u2019s splash back was used as a fixed<br \/>\nwindow. This was used as a focal point for the room by providing a seamless<br \/>\nconnection with the range hoods through the flyover that helps frame the view<br \/>\non the outside.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/4_lr8ik.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p>To ensure that the featured surrounds were not overpowered<br \/>\nby the interiors, all surfaces in the kitchen were finished in \u201cQuasar White\u201d<br \/>\nStaron color scheme which was simple and timeless. To highlight and frame the<br \/>\nviews textured \u201cBlacken Ash\u201d wood grain laminate was used. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/5_9wrpo.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>To draws the eye out to the cabinets on the deck and in and<br \/>\naround the kitchen, a strong linear line of aluminum channeling was used on the<br \/>\ndoor panels and throughout the cabinets while framed glass aluminum sliding<br \/>\ndoors were used between the breakfast hub, the appliance pantry and the<br \/>\nkitchen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/6_xfjw1.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/7_vtppd.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/8_jcn96.jpg\"><\/p>\n<!--CusAds0-->\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Located in Samford, Queensland, Australia, this particular designer<br \/>\nkitchen was created by Sublime Architectural Interiors\u2019 Kim Duffin.
