The artist has<br \/>\ncreated a series of what she calls flowerscapes which are rather elaborate collages<br \/>\nmade using floral elements fashioned from paper as well as a whole bunch of<br \/>\nreal pressed flowers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/anne_ten_donkelaar_flower_constructions_designboom_13_h8qyb1.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The 3D collages are meant to present an image of vibrant<br \/>\nflowering shrubs and bushes though the way in which the designer has used real<br \/>\nflowers into the delicate arrangements is truly remarkable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/anne_ten_donkelaar_flower_constructions_designboom_14_pp1xj.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p>Using tiny yellow<br \/>\nroses, blue cacti and pink peonies among other flowers, the three-dimensional<br \/>\ncollages were supported with the use of tiny pins that keep the delicate<br \/>\nflowers and support structures looking rather sturdier than they actually are.&nbsp;<span style=\"font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.45em\">Each flowerscape is designed to look like a 3D picture<br \/>\nthough the use of real flowers is what gives the images such depth and detail.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/anne_ten_donkelaar_flower_constructions_designboom_26_o93ei.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p>When<br \/>\nthis element of reality if contrasted with the fact that the flowers used in the<br \/>\narrangement are actually flat pressed, the whole interpretations of the flowerscapes<br \/>\nbecome rather interesting especially when you account for the fact that the<br \/>\nreal flowers are made to look like paper flowers to create a 3D imitation of<br \/>\nliving plants as they thrive in nature!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/anne_ten_donkelaar_flower_constructions_designboom_40_tsfbc.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p>And since the flowerscapes are open to<br \/>\na number of interpretations, they surpass their origins as humble collages and transcend<br \/>\ninto the realm of living art.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/anne_ten_donkelaar_flower_constructions_designboom_42_fx5ic.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/anne_ten_donkelaar_flower_constructions_designboom_43_4jngx.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/undefined_3_9crps.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/undefined_4_5a2ae.jpg\" style=\"cursor: nw-resize\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hometone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/undefined_5_jnnjk.jpg\" style=\"cursor: default\"><\/p>\n<!--CusAds0-->\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dutch artist Anne Ten Donkelaar has taken the art of flower arrangement<br \/>\nand made it over in a way that no one could ever have imagined.
