The Ladia Swing-Sofa by Russian designer Mikhail Belyaev is
\none such creation that seeks to blur the boundaries between common living room
\nseating and playground equipment. The sofa is basically designed like a highly
\nstylized see-saw with built in LED lights. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The bare lines and minimalist frame of the sofa allows it to
\nfit most modern and minimalist d\u00e9cor styles though its unusual shape may make
\nit harder to be fitted into smaller rooms that require a more economic use of
\nspace. <\/p>\n

That being said, the sofa certainly more than makes up for its bizarre shape
\nthrough the clever ambience light that it provides and users don\u2019t need to worry
\nabout pairing it with end tables to place table lamps on.<\/p>\n

The boat shaped sofa is perfect for lounges, hotel and office
\nlobbies and even posh bachelor pads where functionality and practicality for
\nsofas can be sacrificed and overlooked as long as the seating looks edgy and \u201cout
\nthere\u201d.<\/p>\n

The sofa is created using Solid Surface by Samsung Staron
\nand was commissioned by the brand Karat for display at the 2013. St. Petersburg
\nDesign Week. <\/p>\n

Practically speaking, the sofa isn\u2019t meant for the faint of heart
\nthough children are sure to enjoy playing on it for hours hoping to induce a
\nseesaw like motion even though the sofa isn\u2019t really designed for that kind of
\nmovement.<\/p>\n\n
