The climate change project of the foundation is being announced recently. But, coming amidst an increasing political push for legislation for curbing greenhouse gas emissions &#8216; i.e. carbon dioxide &#8216; from burning fossil fuels like coal, natural gas and gasoline, it seems to hit the interests right.<\/p>\n<p>Till date the Congress has received several bills that would set mandatory restrictions on carbon dioxide emissions &#8212; the main greenhouse gas. Other clean-energy bills that are under consideration bid to increase renewable energy usages, promoting energy efficiency.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nThe presidential hopefuls for 2008 have proposals that would deal with climate change.<\/strong> Robert H. Socolow, a professor and co-director of the Carbon Mitigation Initiative at Princeton University said,<\/p><div class=\"38520354a5201685ddf480eec688e1a7\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9477973674766713\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"8885944693\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<blockquote><p>This a well-timed contribution of support for the enormous job we face in the next few years trying to figure out the most productive carbon policy for the United States.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nThe commitment of the Duke foundation is probably most significant for its focus, even while being sizable.<\/strong> According to Andrew J.
