The lamb was born on Friday, July 7, on Dave and Di Callaghan&#8217;s farm.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from seven legs and missing bowel part it has everything similar to a common lamb and bleats just like other siblings around her.<\/p>\n<p>The formation of seven legs- polydactyl (with many legs) during pregnancy may be the result of a misprint in embryo formation during gestation period. It has three more rear legs and one leg is attached to the hoof. The lamb is able to walk with its two forelegs and three hind legs.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day-old lamb is currently at Canterbury Vets&#8217; Methven Dave Callaghan and is not able to pass faeces.<\/p>\n<p>Canterbury Vets veterinarian Steve Williams has also diagnosed the lamb to a hermaphrodite.
