However, that doesn&#8217;t seem to apply to the folks living in the US. In order to reduce the greenhouse gas in the air, people need to buy more efficient cars and household appliances that emit less carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. They don&#8217;t have to quit driving or read in the dark.<\/p>\n<p><strong> McKinsey &amp; Company<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/environmentNews\/idUSN2923217120071129?feedType=RSS&amp;feedName=environmentNews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published a report<\/a> <strong>on the green house gas emissions<\/strong> recently &#8212; which analyzed how the US can reduce the Greenhouse emissions and how much it will cost. The report is printed with the title, &#8216;<strong>Reducing U.S. Greenhouse Emissions: How Much at What Cost?<\/strong>&#8216; The report states that the US could cut down emissions by one-half by the year 2030. The costs won&#8217;t be a whole lot.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nAccording to the McKinsey and Company findings, using vehicles that rely on bio-fuels could cut down the emissions as much as by 340 to 660 million metric tons. Along with that, improved heating and air conditioning systems in the houses will help reduce the greenhouse emissions.<\/p><div class=\"38520354a5201685ddf480eec688e1a7\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9477973674766713\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"8885944693\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>However, <strong>the most expensive sector to modify would be the power plants.<\/strong> Capturing carbon dioxide from the Coal fired power stations could reduce the emissions by 800 million to 1.57 billion metric tons. I think that will significantly reduce the carbon emissions in the US. In order to introduce these changes, a lot of support is needed from the public and private sector businesses.
