Pope Benedict XVI condemned human selfishness through the abuse of energy and its reckless exploitation. He referred to an &#8216;ill-treated world&#8217; because of uncontrolled self-interest shown by most at the cost of the environment.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nPope Benedict and the Vatican have taken the environmental cause to heart.
