The distant hills are shrouded in clouds.  It\u2019s only May, yet it looks like the monsoon rains have arrived. Shimla has an average of 5 rainy days during May but its rained almost every day and the weather forecast doesn\u2019t look sunny. Browse through the weather sites and you will realize everywhere it\u2019s the same story and I am not the only one complaining about the weather.<br \/>\nEven the United Nations&#8217; Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2007 report, admits, &#8220;The frequency of precipitation  events has increased over most land areas&#8221;.<br \/>\nAs I pour over the map showing global hazards and extremes in 2007, it shows a disturbing picture.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tNome in Alaska was frost-free during June \u2013Dec. its second longest frost-free season in over 100 years.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tThe northern hemisphere recorded the third lowest snow cover extent on record for April and spring.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tU.K experienced the wettest may \u2013 June since records began in 1766.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tZurich received its largest daily rainfall amount in 100 years and had its heaviest snowfall since 1955.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tMoscow recorded its highest temperature in May since 1891.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tHeaviest snowfall in china in 56 years.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tStrongest typhoon to hit Tokyo since 2002.<br \/>\n\u00b7\t25 million people affected in S Asia by monsoon floods.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tMalaysia experienced worst flooding in decades.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tSixth consecutive year of drought in Australia.<br \/>\n\u00b7\tHeavy rains and flooding in S America and Africa.<\/p><div class=\"38520354a5201685ddf480eec688e1a7\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none;
