The biofuel-powered rocket reached Mach 1 (the speed of sound). The University of North Dakota&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.undeerc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Energy and Environmental Research Center<\/a> conducted this flight in the Mojave Desert.
