The new project called the pilot project will compute and broadcast real time power consumption over a period of two-year. General Electric, the US company will provide both appliances as well as information technology networks for its research venture with Abu Dhabi Government-owned clean energy company, the Masdar.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greendiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/masdar-city2_oJHfA_24429.jpg\" alt=\"masdar city2\" title=\"masdar city2\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The pilot project will test how GE\u2019s smart appliances along with its Energy Manager technology can plug into a smart grid to lower power demand in the home and across the city.
