For the competition, the participants had to design Gardens by the Bay as part of the next phase of the city\u2019s masterplan. Grant Associates, a landscape architecture firm, created a design that they call Bay South. Bay South, located next to the Marina Bay integrated resort, will be built on 54 hectares, making it the largest garden by the Bay.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"gardens by the bay3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greendiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/gardens-by-the-bay3_ZBggs_24429.jpg\" alt=\"gardens by the bay3\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Conservatory Complex will consist of a &#8220;Cool Moist&#8221; biome and a &#8220;Cool Dry&#8221; biome, displaying plants and flowers from the Tropical Montane (Cloud Forest) and Mediterranean environments respectively. Bay South will also incorporate the &#8220;Supertress,&#8221; exclusively designed vertical gardens with tree-like structures between 30 meters and 55 meters in height. The 32 hectare sized garden will incorporate water gardens with terraces that drop down to the Bay\u2019s edge. There is also room for a Boat House Piazza and an education center, where stories of water in nature will be narrated, along with creative and interactive information on the symbiotic relationship between plants, animals and water in an aquatic ecosystem.
