The company plans to provide IDF infantry units with specially designed solar panels to juice up the batteries of their communication devices and laptops. Several Israeli companies have been asked to make these special solar panels.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The photovoltaic panels will come equipped with a socket that will allow soldiers to plug in different chargers for a wide-range of equipment. The specially designed devices that weigh one-and-a-half kilograms and can be folded up into a 2&#215;1-meter panel require only 2 to 3 hours of sunlight. Hey are capable of generating up to 30 watts of electricity and charge several batteries simultaneously.
