Yes, I am talking of <strong>artificial insemination. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a larger effort to restore the vital genetic diversity of koalas especially needed for those in captivity overseas, scientists at the American zoo are using this new technology to inseminate the koalas living there.<\/p>\n<p>As a trial, the technology will be used by scientists at the Riverbanks Zoo in South Carolina. <strong>The process involves &#8216;just&#8217; chilling of the koala semen for up to 72 hours.<\/strong> It is just enough a period to allow its transportation around the world.<\/p><div class=\"38520354a5201685ddf480eec688e1a7\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9477973674766713\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"8885944693\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<p><strong>This procedure will also allow test the genetic profiles of the animals needed for disease.<\/strong> Talking on the facilities this insemination practices will provide, Queensland Premier Peter Beattie, who is in the United States on a trade mission, said<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>That fight against disease is a core of the program.
