Poltrona armchair integrates with the user

poltrona chair

Designed by Gabriel Penisi, Poltrona is an armchair concept that is born from the search to generate a product with clean forms, which allow the user to be able to feel and to integrate like part of it and that also the armchair integrates with the user. Poltrona makes use of two greater sources of inspiration, engineering and nature. We found the first one, in the form that the armchair moves allowing the movement in three degrees, similar to the flight simulators. The second one comes into picture in the type of joint between the base and seat, inspired by the joint of the bone of the hip and the femur. It is through this that profit that the armchair integrates the user.

The materiality of Poltrona is thought about a biodegradable compose material, which is based on vegetable fibers, sporobolus rigens or typha dominguensis native of the area (San Juan, Argentina) and about a biodegradable resin. The cushion is realized with dyed leather of cow. With respect to the application of color, a range of clear colors saturated (red, white, orange) are applied to clear volume and to give it lightness. The graphic design applied respect the formal genesis that is the reason that are used rings, respecting the concept of concentric and sphere. At the moment Poltrona is a concept.
