Beer Master Tour at Anheuser-Busch allows visitors to explore green brewing process

Anheuser-Busch’s Jacksonville brewery is not just any run of the mill foundation. Instead, it’s quite a label owing to its green production facilities that are thrown open to the public via the Beer Master Tour. Guests could actually approach the brew kettles and bottling lines to be on familiar terms with the real production process. Where the guests 21 and up need to shell out $25 for the tour, minors can do so for $10 only.

The tour aims to promote Jacksonville as a tourist destination as the company had been doing it since its conception in the 18th century. It recycles all of its packaging materials, and endorses water, energy, wildlife and habitat conservation too. Once the brewing process is complete, the company transports the waste wheat, barley and hops to area farmers as feed for farm animals. The company recycles almost all of the discarded material. Apart from recycling, it employs the Bio-Energy Recovery Systems (BERS) that produces methane to help provide fuel for its boilers. Moreover, it runs a 300-acre agricultural property near Busch Drive brewery and another on Lem Turner Road, which is 700 acres.
