This case of septicemia shocks me. The reason is not the kind of case involved; it is the neglect of medical authorities. While there are no proofs of Emma Thompson using unsterilised equipments while piercing Daniel Hindle’s lips, the year of Daniel’s admission into the hospital is mentioned – October 2002. The very fact that the docs knew it was septicemia and of a severe kind, was enough to start an antibiotic treatment at the very first phase. Moreover, special care should have been taken, as Daniel was a cardiac patient since childhood.<\/p>

\nMs. Anderson, Daniel Hindle’s mother, hardly knows the fact that septicemia is curable diseases, irrespective of how life threatening it is. The docs could have started antibiotics before the blood culture to prevent the infection from spreading. Later on, they could have carried on the specific antibiotic after knowing the source of infection. When the symptoms were so strong whydid it take three years for the docs to say that it was septicemia
