The traditional donors like students have disappeared and clinics are increasing prices from £200 a cycle a year ago to £700. It is because of the increasing cost of sourcing sperm.<\/p>

The centre for reproductive medicine and fertility at the Royal Hallamshire hospital, said that sperm prices have became five times high in the last year. They usually pass the cost on to patients.<\/p>\n

The Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority has recorded dramatic drops in demand over the past 10 years.
