The drug reduces the risk of return of disease by half and clearly improves survival. This study came in the New England Journal of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>The first report of it came last year at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Herceptin is now being incorporated in the treatment schedule by the doctors.
