A Canadian research team has gone through the data of more than 100,000 patients of asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The researchers have found that the use of inhaled corticosteroids, in fact, raise the risk of developing cataracts in people of more than 65 years of age. The European Respiratory Journal has published the study report.<\/p><div class=\"4a90ee8f0cea4b4c96057cc051b7c66d\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/drprem.com\/medical-tourism\/marketing\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/drprem.com\/medical-tourism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/12\/Medical-Tourism-Post-Ad-2.jpg\"><\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>Dr. Samy Suissa, an epidemiologist at McGill University Health Centre in Montreal and author of the study, has said that doctors should use the information if the use of inhaled corticosteroids is needed.
